Novena begins next Saturday, 10th May at the 7.30 pm
Vigil Mass. Two of the most integral elements of the
Novena are the morning Eucharist at 6.30 an and 10.00
am and the Evening Devotions at 7.30 pm.
There will be
a guest speaker Monday to Friday at
the 7.30 pm Devotions.

Healing
Service and Anointing of those who are sick on Sunday,
11th May at 4.00 pm. Mass for the Dead on Saturday,

The Annual
Lourdes Hospitalite Collection takes places
at all Masses on 17th and 18th May 2008. This fund is
used solely for the purpose of providing medical care
and support to people of the Diocese who are sick and
wish to go to Lourdes.
The Sisters
of St John invite you to join them on Saturday,
10th May for a spiritual conference on the Holy Spirit,
given by Fr John Jesus Moloney, a priest from the Congregation
of the Brothers of St John. Conference begins at 8.00
pm, followed by Mass at 9.30 pm and Adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament until midnight in the Parish Church
of the Assumption, Culmore. For further information

Diocesan
Youth Mass on Pentecost Sunday, 11th May in
St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road, Waterside at
6.00 pm. Bishop Hegarty will be the main celebrant and
all young people are invited to attend. The new Diocesan
Youth Choir will provide the music at this Mass. All
young people studying for their exams this year are
most welcome. Refreshments afterwards in the adjacent
Parish Centre.
Derry
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes, 16th - 21st
July 2008. Application forms are now available at the
Parochial House or the Pilgrimage Office, 164 Bishop
Street, phone 71260293 (open Tuesday and Thursday from
11.00 am - 2.00 pm and Saturday 11.00 am - 1.00 pm and
2.00 - 4.00 pm.) Price £449. Persons in need of
care or aged 80 or over can obtain special application
forms from the Pilgrimage Office.
World
Youth Day Experience in Lourdes: As an alternative
to World Youth day in Sydney, Lourdes has been nominated
the European Centre for WYD and the Diocese will be
taking a youth group to experience these days of celebration.
The trip will be from 16th – 21st July for 20-35
year olds and will travel as part of the larger Diocesan
Pilgrimage. The cost is £449. There will be a
set program for this group for the five days including
live screen link-up to Sydney, International Youth Masses,
concerts, drama and much more. If you are interested

Office.
The Annual
Service of Intercession for the Dead will take
place in the City Cemetery on Sunday, 22nd June at 6.00
pm.
