Corpus Christi
Blessed Sacrament
Procession next Sunday, 6th June (the Feast of Corpus
Christi) from St Columba’s Church, Long Tower
at 3.00 pm finishing here at St Eugene’s Cathedral
with Benediction at 4.00 pm. Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm in St Columba’s
Church, Long Tower. We invite children who have made
their First Holy Communion to come in their First Communion
clothes to be at the front of the procession.
The NICCE
Post Primary Review Team launched a consultation
document ‘Catholic Education For All’ proposing
to establish a Derry City Foundation of strongly collaborative,
viable and sustainable 11-19 all ability schools. The
principals of St Joseph’s, St Cecilia’s,
St Peter’s and St Mary’s invite you to a
meeting in St Mary’s College on Wednesday, 2nd
June at 7.00 pm to explain the consultation process,
outline some of the challenges and encourage you to
make your views known to the commission. The meeting
will last no longer than an hour.

Children
in Crossfire would like to sincerely thank
the parishioners of St Eugene’s Parish for donating
a fantastic total of £1207 to the gate collection
that took place last weekend (22nd/23rd May). They are
very grateful for this continuing support and generosity
which will go towards helping to improve the lives of
young children in Tanzania, Ethiopia and The Gambia.

Ardmore/Altnagelvin/Ballyoan
Cemetery Sunday.
The Service of
Intercession for the Deceased at Ardmore Graveyard will
be held on Sunday, 6th June at 6.00 pm in Ardmore and
3.00 pm in Altnagelvin and Ballyoan Cemetery. Please
bring Holy Water to sprinkle the graves of your relatives
on that day. Flower Sellers should notify Ardmore
Cemetery Committee Members as usual by 1st June.
No Flower Sellers or their vehicles permitted on Church
Car Park on that day. Their cooperation is very
much appreciated.
Mass and
Healing Service in honour of St Peregrine O.S.M.
(Patron Saint of cancer patients) in St Columb’s
Church, Waterside on Wednesday at 7.30 pm. Bring a small
bottle of olive oil and have it blessed in honour of
St Peregrine.
Triduum
of Prayer in St Columba’s Church, Long Tower
beginning next Sunday, 6th June at 7.30 pm in preparation
for the Feast of St Columba, 9th June. Theme: The Angels.
